Question 1

Is Sri Lanka safe for international tourists?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Sri Lanka is very safe, warm, and welcoming for international tourists. The country relies heavily on tourism, and locals take immense pride in hospitality. With SriLankiyo Tours, you have dedicated 24/7 on-road concierge support and an experienced SLTDA-licensed driver guide with you throughout your journey.

Question 2

How many days do I need for a complete Sri Lanka tour?

Accepted Answer

We recommend 10 to 14 days to comfortably experience Sri Lanka’s UNESCO cultural triangle (Sigiriya, Kandy), tea country (Ella, Nuwara Eliya), wildlife safaris (Yala), and southern beaches (Mirissa, Galle). However, if you have only 7 to 8 days, we can design a focused highlights itinerary.

Question 3

Why are tour prices not listed as fixed amounts?

Accepted Answer

As a private Destination Management Company (DMC), all our tours are 100% tailor-made to your specific travel dates, group size, vehicle preference, and hotel category (from 3-star boutique stays to 5-star luxury tea estates). We provide a transparent free quote within 24 hours based on your exact preferences.

Question 4

Can I fully customize the itinerary?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! Every itinerary on our website is a flexible starting template. You can add or remove days, substitute destinations, select your preferred hotels, and include special experiences like the scenic Kandy-Ella train, cooking classes, or whale watching safaris.

Question 5

Do you provide private air-conditioned vehicles and driver guides?

Accepted Answer

Yes, all SriLankiyo tours include a dedicated private air-conditioned vehicle (sedan, SUV, or luxury van depending on your group size) with a licensed, English-speaking chauffeur guide who acts as your personal driver, host, and local storyteller.

Question 6

What is included in a SriLankiyo private tour package?

Accepted Answer

Our standard tour packages include a professional Blue Badge guide, transport by private vehicle, fuel surcharge, and landing & facility fees. Excluded items are food & drinks, safari jeep hires, entrance/admission fees, and accommodation (which can be customized upon request).

Question 7

How does the payment and booking process work?

Accepted Answer

Once you approve your custom itinerary, we confirm your private vehicle and guide arrangements with zero upfront stress. All tour payments are settled directly on the ground in Sri Lanka upon your arrival—there are no online payments collected through our website.

Question 8

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

Accepted Answer

We offer flexible cancellation terms. If you need to postpone or cancel your trip due to unforeseen circumstances, we work directly with our hotel partners to refund or transfer your deposit with minimal or zero administrative fees.
